*chuckles* certainly didn't see a total re-draw coming from this. And in regards to Shetlands... very ill tempered, mean little equines;p I would definitely expect to get mauled by one of those.
You only think the other one is better because its what you expect to see from a MLP. This however is an original and shows what happens when Pickle does original art. Reminds me of something of a dark Pooka or something that might chase a younger Ichabod Crane, ne?
