Corrupted: Not true! Bats can take off from the ground.
Me and my brother were helping to close up the cottage 2 years ago, and as we were closing the kitchen shutter, a little brown bat fell out! We stood and watched it for about 10 minutes to make sure it was alive. It started moving, and then fluttered away.
Creatures that can glide need prior altitude - ie flying squirrels which are misnamed. Creatures that can legitimately fly can do so on their own power without any need for prior positioning.
's why the bat is considered the only mammal that can in fact fly.

I really like the way you detailed the folds and creases of the wings. That's always the draw of bat TFs for me.
