Awwwwww too bad. I did notice that too and apparently red emeralds DO exist. They are just incredibly rare. So despite what you might have actually meant it was a nice lesson for me. Thx for that. :D

*ponders* I just thought the "Emerald" had turned red, leading to the girl's initial confusion. Besides, if ya wanna get REAL technical, rubies are typically pinkish, while garnets have more of that blood red people tend to think of.: Aside from that, I am happy to get to see this, dispite not getting to donate earlier;p ... eh, stuff happens. All in all, Tooo cute . :D

I would wager it has something to do with region and quality of the gems then: I am working from personal experience here. It won't hurt to do further research on it for myself:) Heck, it could be a chaos emerald for all I know: it certainly caused chaos, has the power of plot, and caused a powerful transformation, so... *shrugs and smirks, heading out to bone up on gemstones...*

Cutted rubys are red even more if used in juwelery (since that is what is wanted on the market). Raw stones on the other hand can vary from pink to red to light-purple. Many shades are possible I own quite a few. Depending on the amount of iron in it the red colour varies quite much.
